corn-syrup free for 3 years! (for the most part!)
i never imagined i would move my month-long experiment to a lifestyle change. from eating mcdonald’s and drinking regular pepsi on a weekly basis and not caring about a loaf of bread’s ingredients to being an ingredients-list speed skimmer.
what do i miss?
trolli britecrawlers, sourpatch kids, gummy bears 🙁

mcdonald’s drive through (this is probably a good thing…)
ritz crackers

what don’t i miss?
regular pepsi (mostly because cane sugar pop is soooo good)
fake maple syrup
the chemical aftertaste of corn syrup. some things taste 100X better made with alternative ingredients (case in point: special K bars)
giving money to big corn
not caring (it’s a catch-22!)

trolli brite crawlers and mcdonalds are what is hindering me these days. boo on corn syrup. but yum on real maple syrup! nom nom nom
you can buy organic gummy bears, but they just aren’t the same 🙁 it does help with the fix.
mcdonalds you can get a wrap or chicken nuggets (although the wrap has hydrogenated crap in it).
on the plus side, five guys is a perfect place to get your burger fix 🙂 they even use peanut oil instead of corn oil for the fries.
my five guys is on campus and a cluster to deal with during the school year. and no drive through. 🙁 half of mcd’s appeal is the convenience. but 5 guys is darn tasty!
