dual-screen viewing

dual-screen viewing

there has been a lot of buzz lately about dual-screen tv viewing. i’ve posted in the past about how hard it is for me to watch tv shows or netflix or a movie without having a laptop or phone in hand – electronic ADD.
to which i say, big whoop. remember the years 1999-2000? when pets.com was a thing still?

awww, i miss this guy.

also the year companies started putting their web addresses on their tv commercials. also the year i lived in lottie hall at csb where my tv and computer were 5 feet apart. also the year where i would see a web address on a commercial and hop up to check it out while still watching tv.
as i said, big whoop. dual screening is not a new thing – it’s at least 10 years old for college students, who are used to plugging away on their laptop while the tv is on, or having a tv and computer both going strong in a small confined space (aka dorm rooms).
so when they are spouting off about dual-screening lately, what they mean is that your mom is doing it. you’ve been doing it for quite some time, but now that an older generation is tweeting while watching NCIS, by god it’s a trend!

my day-long break

my day-long break

well, consensus is the daily posts are liked, and then i go and not post yesterday. whoops.
i am getting really tired of my future landlord. we were supposed to move in nov. 1, then that was pushed back to dec. 1, then this weekend, and now it’ll probably be next mon-wed sometime. really? at what point does a person say screw it and go somewhere else? looking at long-term forecasts, now there will be snow on the ground when we move. to top it off, aunt and uncle are replacing the carpet out here this friday, which they’ve already rescheduled once, and there’s a renter waiting to move in! this is ridiculous and it makes me want to cry.

success!

success!

kablpomo was a success this year! congratulations to me! there was one day in CO where the timestamp didn’t match due to time zones, but that was easily fixed (and i don’t feel bad about it).
so enter the yearly question: is it possible and/or fill a void to maintain a daily blogging regime? oh readers, what do you think? i could continue on with my pinterest experiments, especially once we’re moved (ONE WEEK). christmas cookies are upcoming, and i can always use an excuse to take photos. plus, i will have my desk back soon, which will make for much easier access to computer and internet.
what’s the buzz about this (if any)?
