Life in the Cheese Drawer

life has been fairly monotonous. i am unpacking, slowly but surely. the new place is entirely too small for the amount of stuff that nate and i have accumulated through the years. i will take pics soon and post them. when i’m done unpacking 🙂
i went to the cities a couple days ago and visited megan, ate cheese fries, went to ikea and bought some baskets for my new place, and went to the MOA, where i bought… *gasp*…nothing. omg! BUT i went to DSW and drooled over the shoes. i tried a lot on. surprising, they have a lot of size 11s in that store! i am impressed. we also went to sephora, where we found $1000 anti-aging crap. and then the awesomest discovery ever, a store with mega-expensive vibrating chairs. omg! i was sitting in one that had a built-in foot massager!!! it was awesome!!
megan’s new place is awesome. i think it’s bigger than my place, and hers is a one-bedroom! plus it has a sunken living room!
i have been organizing my stuff for the upcoming craft fair. i am hesitant to buy a LOT of frames, but i am also hesitant to buy not enough. i’m thinking 4 sizes, 20 frames each, two each of 10 prints. with the exception of the white flower – i’m making 4 prints in each size of that one because it has gotten rave reviews from everyone who’s seen it.
i applied for another GA!! the second one is much nicer and more related to my field. i hope i get a call! i don’t know why he wouldn’t call me with all my experience in everything he needs. he has to call me!
anyway, all has been decent. i got basic cable from the dumb cable company. now i can at least watch america’s next top model, despite the lack of food network and cartoon network and travel channel. 🙁 but i signed up for netflix, so that should calm some lack of entertainment anxiety i’m having.
i’m out.

well, i have no tv yet. i don’t know what to do. the building owners are putting new siding on the apts. this summer and are taking down all the directtv dishes and not letting them be put back up, so no directtv. the cable in town sucks. the only channels i would even be happy getting are comedy central and TBS. no cartoon network! no food channel!
ugh!
and i would hook up my tv to the antenna on top of the building, but there is no coax outlet in the living room. there are THREE in the far bedroom, however. tell me how that got justified.
anyway, i have been slowly getting unpacked and now it’s down to a few things here and there, and the computer room.
and GOOD NEWS!!! my aunt kathy and i got accepted to the lemonade fair!!! that’ll be so cool! we’re going to sell our stuff in a booth! everyone has to come visit us! so much to do to get that ready though. oh my.
and i have to call the alterations people for my bridesmaid dress for liz’s wedding. i must make a note.
ok, that’s all for now. i’m applying for a graduate assistantship for the fall, so cross your fingers for that!
