highlights
some december highlights so far.
1. i’ve had three etsy orders this month, two of them big!
2. i have done no prep work for 2014’s year of blogging. 🙁
3. i haven’t even looked at my devil’s syrup book
4. but my presents are wrapped, tree is up, and tonight i plan on hanging my railing lights and tinsel.
5. and most baking shopping is done. ready for cookies this sunday!
6. but i need to get going on my christmas movie watching.
7. and mail charlie’s xmas presents!
8. and i feel like i have no time to get anything done…

i’ve already started on my christmas movie watching.
1. rudolph – my mom and i watched it when it was on tv before thanksgiving. sacrilege, i know! but dang, it looks good remastered and on a decent tv! ready, santa!
2. national lampoon’s christmas – i actually watched this t-day night, i believe. i was waiting for old navy to start their bf sales, and popped this up on amazon streaming. i think i like it more each time i watch it.
3. elf – it was so early to watch this one! but i did anyway since my mom requested it and jane was in the area. i might have to watch it again closer to the date.

light the advent candle one
welcome december! this morning i got to open door one on my lindt advent calendar. unfortunately, the prize was a white chocolate ball covered in milk chocolate. boo!
i put up some christmas lights outside on my front door pole thing and hung a star with lights on it outside. also put up my LED branches with my fake poinsettia in a vase and put together the small tree i got for next to my front door.
i’ve decided to put up my tree next sunday. this is a weird year for figuring out when to put up my tree. if a weekend fell on the 12th, i wouldn’t have a problem. it was either next sunday or friday after that. since friday i’ll be prepping for cookie weekend, sunday it is. woo!
speaking of cookies, i want to make these macaron. they’re so pretty!
