Life in the Cheese Drawer

so, the werd on the street is that utah is looking to ban porn on the internets. i sure feel sorry for any guy living in utah who would want to frequent porn sites….

and here i am at nate’s place, sitting here watching tv and working on some crap for my mom.
and now i think we’re going to go sit in the hot tub. and i forgot my swimsuit! should i go skinny dipping in the hot tub? 🙂

my life has begun to be monotonous, or at least my perception of it. get up, go to work, go to class (if applicable), go home, eat, do homework (if applicable), watch tv, pet the cat, go to bed. every day. i live for my weekends.
this weekend i’m going to fargo to see melissa. apparently, she got tickets to go see michael w. smith w/a group through church. now, i like mws, i really do. i have a cd of his, and i would definitely go to his concert. but with a church group??? omg. i don’t think it would be as bad as going with a baptist church group, but still, a church group isn’t the greatest. plus, i would have to leave work early to get to fargo by 5 p.m. besides that, i just found out that i have to have these bookings books bookity book books done next week, which requires many hours of copying. 🙁 i have a feeling i won’t be seeing mws.
anyway, back to my monotonous life. after this semester is done, i’ll have a month of just working. i’m not sure if that’s good or bad. good because i can make more $, bad because i’ll be bored out of my mind. maybe i’ll make a good dent in the catalog. speaking of that, i wish it was done, because there are two graphic design positions open on the mn workforce center web site, which i would apply for if i didn’t have that huge monstrosity of a catalog hanging over my head. just my luck.
well i’m off to the boringland i call my place of employment. i wish i were off to my house for a nap.

last night in my law class we went over privacy and there is NO privacy on the internet. anything and everything you say online can be used against you. emails are a different matter (except if you’re at work). just be aware!

perhaps i should explain the st john’s pic.
my last year at st. ben’s, there was “women’s week” or something. the committee for the week (made of students) got the vagina monologues to come. now this wasn’t a big deal. most of the people were like, ok, vagina monologues, women’s week, whatever. it’s a women’s college. no biggie. BUT
the president of the college canceled the vagina monologues due to it being too “controversial.”
little did she know that she had created the biggest controversy of all.
hence, vagina day was created. some girls went out one night and color-chalked the sidewalks with VAGINA DAY and LOVE YOUR VAGINA and etc. etc. it really created a sense of community i’d never seen before at the college! everyone was like, happy vagina day! and the johnnies were even happier. as you can see from the before-posted sign. :-0

i kinda want to say:

ugh i have to go to new london tonight for a late father’s day celebration. and i left my sunglasses at home.
i’m also working on the flyer at work and it’s a pain in the butt! already. i haven’t even finished page one.

for those of you who don’t know this (who would be reading this and not know? i don’t know. but a reminder) i will be having a party on may 30 (sunday before mem. day) at games lake in new london. so! there will be fires, tents, booze, fun, etc. so be there or be square! 🙂
